AIHA Fall Event

Event Hosts: Alabama Local American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Section and the Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety (DSC)

Purpose: Connecting Safety and Health Professionals and Students, To Build A Stronger Future For The Profession! Become A Safety and Health Profession Mentor, You May Just Learn Something New. 

Why Professionals, Students and Non-Members Should Attend: Hear how changes to Safety, Health and Environmental practices will affect the future of the safety and health profession.  Earn CIH/CSP points.  Share your knowledge with your peers. Connect with potential future interns, Safety, Health and Environmental candidates, co-workers.  Network with your fellow Safety, Health and Environmental practitioners.  Gain an expanded knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental career outlook.  Learn more about the missions of AIHA, ASSE, and the Deep South ERC.      


Speakers:

Debbie Dietrich, CIH
Vice President and CIH, SKC Inc.
A well respected member of the industrial hygiene community with over 30 years of industry experience, Debbie has a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene and has been on the American Board of Industrial Hygiene since 1988.
 
Debbie has been a past director of the National AIHA Board, a past President of the Gulf Coast AIHA
Setion and has published many articles including "Sampling of Gases and Vapors" in AIHA Publication, The Occupational Environment - Its Evaluation and Control.

 

Lawrence D. Sloan,CAE
Chief Executive Officer

Lawrence “Larry” Sloan stepped into the role of CEO at the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) in October, 2016.  Prior to this, he served as President/CEO for seven years at the Society of Chemical Manufactures and Affiliates (SOCMA), representing the interests of the US specialty chemical industry.  Larry served as President of the Adhesive and Sealant Council from January 2005 to February 2010.  Mr. Sloan joined the Council in 2001 as Director Member Services, and was promoted to Senior Director in 2004.
