Training Unit

CSCH faculty and staff members have developed a well-established training, technical assistance, and mentoring history spanning over 30 years in a variety of community and academic settings in Alabama and other states in the southeast region. The goal for the Center’s Training Unit is to strengthen its training capacity through expanded involvement of academic, community, and institutional partners. The Unit designs and makes available training programs for faculty, staff, students, and community persons relevant to health promotion, disease prevention, and CBPR. Target populations include community lay persons and agency representatives, health and public health professionals, academic investigators and university undergraduate and graduate students. Training programs are offered using a variety of electronic and face-to-face instructional methods and are conducted in a variety of community and university settings.
