Martin Lampman, ASHMM Secretary, has arranged for a tour of the newly constructed SurModics Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. SurModics Pharmaceuticals is a leading drug delivery company providing clinical trial material. The tour will provide an opportunity to see the new laboratory operations of the facility and the continued design/construction of the facility. Must wear closed toe shoes and please bring your hard hat and safety glasses if you have them. Otherwise, a hard hat and safety glasses will be provided.

| 1.) From Downtown Birmingham - get on Highway 65 South (toward Montgomery) |
| 2.) Take exit 255 - Lake Shore Parkway exit |
