COURSE OVERVIEW

The objective of the program is to teach the participants to become an active part of an Occupational Hearing Conservation Program (HCP). Through extensive lectures, workshops and exercises and supervised practicum on related areas of a hearing conservation program, a basic understanding of a comprehensive HCP and audiometric testing is achieved. Successful completion of the course enables the participant to apply to the Council on Accreditation for Occupational Hearing Conservationist (CAOHC) for certification as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist.

Ample time will be allowed to use and evaluate different audiometers and to master basic testing techniques.

 Comments:

"Having a marked hearing loss myself.  I feel by being in this training, I am/will be less embarrassed about my disorder.  I know that testing is not a measure of "me" and how I fit in but a measure of my own hearing "Test Scores." The course is excellent.  The instruction was clear.  The instructor and her assistants were great.  Thanks so much.  (Awesome)!"
