This course will assist attendees with skills to recognize potential health hazards in the workplace. Exposure to health hazards continues to be common in spite of advances in control measures and techniques. OSHA's current strategic plan has made a reduction in some specific health hazards such as combustible dust, lead, silica, and ergonomic related a high priority. The target audience is the small employer, business owner, or manager who would like to obtain information about health hazards found in the workplace.
This course will provide information on the types of health hazards and discuss ways to recognize, evaluate, and control them in the workplace. When you complete this course you should be able to recognize, evaluate, avoiding, minimize, control and/or eliminate them health hazards in the workplace.

This one-day workshop will explore the effective implementation of a company's safety and health management system. The workshop will address the four core elements of an effective safety and health system, central issues that are critical to each element's proper management. Participation in sessions designed to increase participant awareness and enable them to apply what they have learned when they return to their workplace. The target audience is the small employer, business owner or manager designated with the responsibility to develop and manage a firm's safety and health program or system.
