Course Director: Kyle G. Boyett is the Assistant Director of Biosafety for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Also, Mr. Boyett is serving as the Federal Appointment to Alabama 1 Disaster Medicine Assistance Team as the Safety Officer for the team.  This team is part of the National Disaster Medical Service United States Public Health Service.
 
This one-day workshop will aid attendees in the development of a Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Plan for healthcare facilities using a step-by-step approach. Featured topics include: Introduction to the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, Exposure Control Plan, Exposure Determination, Methods of Control, Vaccinations and Evaluations, Training and Information and Recordkeeping.
