Biography: 

Dr. Robin Lanzi is a Professor and Director of Academic Programs in the Department of Health Behavior and Co-Director of the UAB Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Behavioral and Community Sciences Core. She was recently selected as one of UAB’s Faculty Fellows in Engaged Scholarship.  As a developmental psychologist with a maternal and child health background, Dr. Lanzi’s scholarly activities center on reducing family and child/adolescent health disparities through the advancement of new research methodologies and strategies. A central theme throughout Dr. Lanzi’s research is “putting research into practice” through multiple pathways, including a focus on community engagement and dissemination and implementation science. Dr. Lanzi has extensive experience in qualitative and mixed methods and in assessing health related attitudes and behaviors.
