School Ceremony

Honors Convocation Day

Graduates and guests are expected to conduct themselves with decorum and give proper respect to fellow graduates, guests, and the  speakers on the stage. Cell phone use is restricted to line up, professional, and recessional; please no cell phones during the Commencement Ceremonies. Everyone attending is expected to remain in their seats until each ceremony is concluded.

School of Public Health Honors Convocation

Date: Thursday, May 1, 2008

Time: 10:00 - 12:00 p.m.

Location: Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, 1200 10th Avenue South, on the UAB campus.

Format: Hooding ceremony.

No tickets required.

 

Honors Convocation Schedule of Events:


 9:00 a.m. Arrive at the Alys Stephens Center for class photo and to line up for the Processional and receive instructions. Graduates must arrive on time. Graduates who arrive late may not be able to participate in the ceremony, so it is critical that you arrive on time.
 10:00 a.m. School of Public Health Honors Convocation begins.
 11:30 a.m. (Immediately following Honors Convocation) Proceed to the reception in the ground floor lobby of the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Time: 2:00 p.m.

Location: Bartow Arena
