Supporting Documents Required for All Degree Programs

  • Statement of Purpose and Objectives
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Three Recommendation Letters
  • Transcripts from all institutions attended beyond high school (For transcripts to be considered official they must be sent directly from the institutions registrar’s office)
  • GRE: Currently GRE scores cannot be sent to SOPHAS designation #5688.  Please have your scores sent to UAB, Designation #1856.  GraduateSchool applicants should also send scores to Designation #1856.
Additional Transcript Instructions

Upon matriculation an official copy with degree posted must be provided to the UAB Graduate School. International students who have only one official copy must bring the official copy to the Graduate School office for verification.

Additional Requirements for International Applicants

  • TOEFL (for international applicants who have not completed a degree at an English-speaking institution) – Designation #1856 for SOPHAS applicants and GraduateSchool applicants.
