- International transcripts must be submitted to World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) for an official course-by-course credential evaluation (document-by-document evaluations will not suffice). All WES or ECE evaluations are to be received by SOPHAS directly from WES http://www.wes.org or ECE http://www.ece.org/ or received by the UAB Graduate School directly from WES or ECE if applying thru Apply Yourself.

TOEFL (international applicants who have not completed a degree at an English-speaking institution). International English Language Testing System (IELTS) can be substituted as an alternative to the TOEFL, with TOEFL being preferred. (SOPHAS code - 5688. UAB Code - 1856)
