2007 Alabama Agricultural Security Conference Proceedings
June 12 – 13, 2007, Birmingham, Alabama
The South Central Center for Public Health Preparedness, the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries partnered to plan and host a conference that focused on threats to agriculture and the food supply in Alabama and the USA. The purpose of this conference was to provide information on the nature of these threats, strategies to reduce the risk of these threats, the response to agricultural incidents and foodborne disease outbreaks. In addition to providing information on agricultural and food related incidents this conference emphasized the need for improved inter-agency and inter-disciplinary communication and cooperation.
