Description
The Coordinated MPH (Health Behavior)/DVM (Veterinary Medicine) degree program is offered with the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. This program enables students to obtain an MPH in Health Behavior simultaneously with a DVM. The MPH degree requires a minimum of 42 credit horus.
The learning objectives of the Coordinated MPH (Health Behavior)/ DVM (Veterinary Medicine degree program specifies that Health Behavior graduates will learn to effectively apply state of the art:
· program evaluation principles and skills to the assessment of health promotion and disease prevention program outcomes and the clinical and community levels;
· social/behavioral research methods to the design and implementation of clinical and community-based intervention/prevention programs.
Admissions
Applicants to this program must first be admitted to DVM program at the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. Applicants must meet the requirements for admission to the School of Public Health.
Curriculum
Students in this track take a minimum of 42 credit hours. This is a coordinated dual degree track, and, as such, graduation from the MPH program is contingent on completion of all requirements for graduation from the MD program.
