GGT (Graphical GenoTyping package) (see also, MAPCOMP )
Description GGT stands for Graphical GenoTypes. A graphical representation of molecular marker data can be an important tool in the process of selection and evaluation of plant material. A computer program was developed that enables representation of molecular marker data by simple chromosome drawings in several ways. Commonly used marker file types that contain marker information serve as input for this program, which was named ‘GGT’. Description A pedigree and haplotypes drawing tool written in Perl/Tk. Kinship2
Description Routines to handle family data with a pedigree object. The initial purpose was to create correlation structures that describe family relationships such as kinship and identity-by-descent, which can be used to model family data in mixed effects models, such as in the coxme function. MAPCHART (Windows software for the graphical presentation of linkage maps and QTLs)
Description MapChart is a computer package for the MS-Windows ® platform that produces charts of genetic linkage maps and QTL data. These charts are composed of a sequence of vertical bars representing the linkage groups or chromosomes. On these bars the positions of loci are indicated, and next to the bars QTL intervals and QTL graphs can be shown. MapChart reads the linkage information (i.e. the locus and QTL names and their positions) from text files. Madeline 2.0 PDE
Description The Madeline 2.0 Pedigree Drawing Engine is a pedigree drawing program designed to handle large and complex pedigrees with an emphasis on readability and aesthetics. The program reads input files specified on the command line and generates pedigree drawings without user interaction. PED (Pedigree Drawing software)
Description PED 6 (www.medgen.de) is a Windows application for creating, drawing, and editing of pedigrees. All of the pedigree drawing features conform to the Pedigree Standardization Task Force recommendations. PED 6 enables the user to export family information not only as LINKAGE or CSV (comma separated values) file, but also as a BOADICEA data file. The data files created by PED can be uploaded to the BOADICEA Web Application (BWA; www.srl.cam.ac.uk/genepi/boadicea/boadicea_home.html) to estimate the risks of breast and ovarian cancer and the probability to be a carrier of any cancer-associated mutations in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene. PedigreeQuery
Description A program for working with large pedigrees. Some times it is required to get chart only of some shapes of such pedigrees. PedigreeQuery was made for drawing shapes of pedigrees using step-by-step algorithm. The drawing unit is a nuclear family. New nuclear family is added to pictured shape of pedigree on each step. Enlargement of shape is making by pointing on person who is already in shape and we will called him pointer. If there are offspring or parents of the pointer which are not yet in the shape they will added to it. Step-by-step algorithm allows to draw any shape of pedigrees or whole pedigrees. Such kind of pedigree drawing is very useful in tracking inheritance of genes in large pedigrees. You may get just only the shape of the pedigree which consists only persons which are you interesting in but not the whole pedigree which is difficult for study.
