SIXTH ANNUAL JANET L. NORWOOD AWARD

Dr. Davidian received her BS & MS in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science and her PhD in Statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She began her career in academe at North Carolina State University. Dr. Davidian progressed steadily through the ranks to the rank of Distinguished Professor, with close ties with the Harvard School of Public Health and Duke University. Her research interests include mixed effects models, longitudinal data analysis, covariate measurement error, missing data, and analysis of assay data and calibration. She is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She is a past President of The International Biometric Society - Eastern North American Region (2004) and North Carolina Chapter of the American Statistical Association (1991). Dr. Davidian has been a member of the editorial boards of Biometrics, Statistica Sinica, the Journal of the American Statistical Association, and Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems.
