MASTERS LEVEL STATISTICIANS
The Section on Statistical Genetics (SSG) in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Alabama – Birmingham invites applications for a statistical programmer. Candidates should have an MS in Biostatistics/Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a closely related field with good inter-personal and communication skills and experience in at least two of the following: C/C++, Fortran, SAS, and Splus.
The SSG has several faculty members and postdoctoral fellows that collectively have expertise in major areas of Statistical Genetics. The successful candidate will collaborate with these research professionals for the development/evaluation of state-of-the-art methodology in statistical genetics and for the software development for genetic data analysis.
