Dr. Loraine joined UAB in September, 2004 as an Assistant professor specializing in computational biology, a hybrid discipline that uses statistical and computational methods to answer research questions in biology. Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of Dr. Loraine's research, she holds appointments in the Departments of Genetics and Biostatistics.
