Gary Gadbury received the Ph.D degree in 1998 from the Department of Statistics, Colorado State University, Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station and completed a mini-sabbatical studying the application of statistical genetics at the NIH-funded NY Obesity Research Center. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at University of Missouri - Rolla. One of his recent research areas has focused on statistical methods and experimental designs to evaluate “unexplained” individual treatment heterogeneity. Ongoing research considers the role of treatment by marker genotype interactions in the potential magnitude of this heterogeneity. Another research area is the development of statistical methods for microarray data. He has written extensive S-plus code and co-authored papers regarding this topic. He is a member of the American Statistical Association, Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and the International Biometric Society. He has worked on projects with the USDA.
