Full CV

I received my B.S. in Sport Management and Exercise Science from Tulane University in New Orleans and my M.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I received my Ph.D. in Sport Science, with a major concentration in Exercise Physiology and minor in Nutrition, from Georgia State University in October 2009. My doctoral research focused on obesity and diabetes with a special interest in lipid accumulation and peroxidation within skeletal muscle tissue.

I joined the Section on Statistical Genetics in October 2009 and am currently working on a meta-analysis of design issues in weight loss interventions, as well as a novel body composition assessment technique utilizing digital images. My research interests include exercise and diet intervention for the treatment of obesity and diabetes, programming for community wellness, and anthropometric assessment techniques.
