Dr. Page has two lines of research both aimed at localizing genes involved in complex and quantitative traits in humans and other organisms. His first line of research is the development and application of novel linkage methods for localizing genes involved through family studies. Dr. Page is primarily involved with Psychiatric disorders: anxiety disorders, alcoholism, depression, schizophrenia, suicide, lupus and reading disability.

His second line of research is the development and application of new and exciting techniques for the analysis of DNA microarrays and Proteomics. He is Co-PI of the UAB Plant Genome Project, the Microarray Research Co-ordination Network,  PI of the Power Atlas, and his is a director of Core D (biostatistics and bioinformatics) in the Center for Nutrient Gene Interactions as well as several more applied projects.

His overall research goal is to pull together multiple high dimensional Biological fields including: linkage, genomics, proteomics, and expression data to identify the genes and factors involved in diseases and traits.
