I received my Bachelors degree in mathematics from Seoul National University. Also, I obtained my Ph.D in statistics from State University of New York at Stony Brook for the research on the behavior of maximized genetic linkage statistics, under the guidance of Dr. Nancy R. Mendell. My current research will include efficient methods of selecting tag SNPs for association studies in case-control setting and its application to the genetic problems in immunology.
