Alumni in the News: Dr. Wanda Walton Receives NAR Lifetime Achievement Award

The North American Region of the Union-North America Region award for Lifetime Achievement is the highest award given by the region. It is .presented to recipients who have made an outstanding contribution in the field of Tuberculosis over an entire career.
The contribution may have been in any aspect of TB, including basic science, epidemiology, public health, advocacy, patient care, education, nursing, and laboratory science.
Dr. Walton was nominated for her outstanding leadership and tireless efforts advocating for, and addressing the education needs of tuberculosis (TB) patients and their loved ones, and the professional development of healthcare professionals dedicated to the care and service of patients, their families, and communities affected by TB.
