Sindhu Lakkur has a BS in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She received a PhD in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Emory University under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Goodman. She joined the Department of Biostatistics, Section on Statistical Genetics as a Postdoctoral Fellow in October 2013.

Her primary areas of interest are cardiovascular disease, health disparities, and nutritional epidemiology.
